
MSU-Alabama Baseball Suspended Friday Night Due To Rain

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Friday night's Southeastern Conference baseball game between Alabama and Mississippi State has been suspended due to lightning and heavy rain in the Tuscaloosa area.
The Crimson Tide led 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning when play was halted at 6:58 p.m. The Tide had drawn three walks from MSU starter Caleb Reed and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jon Kelton. The Crimson Tide had two outs and two runners on base when play was halted.
Friday's contest is scheduled to be resumed Saturday. However, an official game time will not be announced until Saturday morning. Game officials hope to complete Friday's game and play an additional nine-inning game on Saturday. The series finale is still set for 2 p.m. Sunday.
