State Tennis Completes Fall Season

PENSACOLA, Fla. - George Coupland of the Mississippi State men's tennis team dropped a two-set bout in the main draw of the Pensacola Futures to conclude the fall season for the Maroon and White.
Coupland, who is ranked 56th nationally, won four-straight matches in qualifying to advance to the main draw of the Futures tournament.
Coupland was defeated by Andrea Collerini, who is ranked among the top 600 in the world and was a top five player in the world in juniors play, 6-4, 6-2.
State will return to the courts in January at the SEC Indoor Championships.
