February 27, 2009 | Baseball
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Friday's scheduled baseball series-opener between Mississippi State and Nicholls University at Dudy Noble Field has been canceled due to heavy rainfall and stormy weather in the Starkville area. The game has been rescheduled as part of a Saturday doubleheader beginning at Noon CT. The Bulldogs conclude the Nicholls series and a nine-game season-opening home stand Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
Mississippi State is also hosting Auburn in men's basketball Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. at Humphrey Coliseum. Fans attending Saturday's athletic affairs are reminded that reserved parking policies for men's basketball will be in place, and that baseball parking passes will not be honored.
