The Bulldogs, who moved to 3-3 on the year, out-shot the Jaguars (1-5) 14-5 in a game that was played in wind gusts in excess of 20
“The first half was the best 45 minutes that we've played this season,” Bulldog head coach Neil Macdonald said. “We played good soccer in difficult conditions. We created a lot of opportunities. It was tougher in the second half with the wind against us, but we defended very well. We didn't create quite as much in the second half, but overall, I'm very pleased with our performance tonight.”
The Bulldogs were unable to convert some early scoring chances in the contest, but constant offensive pressure finally paid off at the 32:36 mark. Sophomore Leanna Baldner sent a ball into the box from the left side, and Kevyn Shelledy deflected it to Kite, who punched it past

Shelledy had an opportunity to extend the MState lead to 2-0 in the 41st minute, but her shot off a Meredith Jacobson pass deflected off the right post.
The Maroon and White took the one-goal advantage to the half, and facing the gusty winds in the second half, utilized a strong defensive effort to turn back a late surge from the host Jaguars.
