MState To Resume Third Round Saturday Morning At 7 a.m.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ? Round three at the NCAA Championship has been suspended due to the weather conditions. Half of the 30-team field completed their round but the remaining half, which included the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who were in 27th place when play was suspended. Play will resume with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. Saturday morning and the top 15 will immediately advance into the fourth round at 11 a.m.

MSU trails the University of Oregon by one stroke while maintain a one stroke lead over the University of Virginia. Junior Carlos Sainz, Jr. is the current MState leader in round three with a 1-over-par through 11 holes, which includes two birdies. He also is in a tie for 43rd place overall in the individual standings. Junior Noah Goldman fell from the Bulldogs leader position after posting a 7-over-par through 10 holes in round three. Junior Matt Fast is currently 3-over-par through 12 holes, while senior Josh Oller and junior Josh Bevell are each at 8-over-par.
