Bettering his first-round score by three shots, senior Matt Fast shot a second-round, 2-under-par 70 and sits in a tie for 17th. Fellow senior Noah Goldman is in a tie for 31st after a second-round 75 and two-day total of 145.
MSU's Carlos Sainz, Jr. holds a two-day total of 149 after a second-round score of 75 and sits in a tie for 56th. Rounding out the Bulldog lineup, redshirt junior Brian Mason is tied for 65th with a two-round score of 150.
Senior Logan Young has notched a 158 after two rounds. Young's score does not count towards the team score as he is competing as an individual.
“We knew the scores would be a little higher today,” said head coach Clay Homan. “Today's course was longer and is even used on the Senior Tour. We are looking for our scores to improve tomorrow.”
Round three will begin Wednesday morning on the Fazio course, on which round one was played.
