
Lady Bulldogs Move To 10th After Second Round Of SEC Championship

Senior Amanda Mathis and freshman Gina Sharp both shot even-par rounds of 72 on Saturday to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Mathis moved up to a tie for 15th, while Sharp's career-best round propelled her to a tie for 22nd. Julia Huh shot a second-round 73 which was her season best and stands in 46th. Leigh Phillips carded a 78 and stands in a tie for 43rd while Suzanne Stanley is in a tie for 50th after a 79 on Saturday.
Georgia increased their team lead by a stroke, shooting a 291 on Saturday. UGA leads by eight strokes over South Carolina who moved from fifth to second with a field-best 289 second-round score. UGA's Garrett Phillips still holds the individual lead after the second round, as she shot a 72 on Saturday and stands at five-under par. One stroke behind Phillips is South Carolina's Jenna Pearson, who shot a 66 on Saturday, along with Tennessee's Marci Turner who had a second round score of 72.
The final round of the tournament will get under way Sunday at 8:30 a.m. CT at tee #1 and #10. Live scoring and other information is available on the tournament central page.
