Lady Bulldogs Finish 11th At Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Mississippi State women's golf team fired a final-found 308 on Sunday to finish in 11th place at the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Couse. The Lady Bulldogs finished the three-day event with a 932 team score.
On the final day of action, MSU was led by senior Julia Huh who shot a 70 on Sunday, which was second best in the field. The Pasadena, Md., native finished the tournament with a 228 and tied for 12th. Freshman Erika Thornton finished the tournament in a tie for 27th, shooting a 233. Mallory Batson tied for 42nd after a three day total of 235 while sophomore Gina Sharp tied for 49th with a 237. Suzanne Stanley fired her tournament-best score of 79 on Sunday to finish with a 249.
TCU carded a 299 in the final round as they ran away with the team title by 14 strokes. North Carolina-Wilmington's Carmen Perez-Narbon shot a 3-under 69, on Sunday to claim the individual crown by two strokes.
MSU will conclude its fall season next weekend as they travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to compete in the Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate.
