As a team, State fired a round of 303 and heads into Monday's second round in a tie for 10th with Mercer. Sophomore Noah Goldman turned in a round of 4-over par 76 along with Logan Young posting a 77. Back in the line up after missing the last two events, senior Greg Huxman carded a round of 79.
Host-Vanderbilt and Ole Miss share the clubhouse lead after one round at 2-over par. Tennessee-Chattanooga stands three shots back at 5-over par. UTC's Mitchell Brock leads the individual standings after registering a 4-under par round of 68. The Ironhorse Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club only surrendered six rounds of under par scoring.
MState will begin second round competition at 8:45 a.m. on Monday and will be paired with Mercer and Toledo.
