- Monica Alvarado's Career Statistics
AS A FRESHMAN (2009)
• Followed up her freshman campaign by helping Mexico to the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Germany.
• Also represented Mexico last spring as it secured a World Cup berth by advancing to the final of the CONCACAF U20 Qualifier.
• SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll member who missed just two matches in her inaugural season, starting every match she played in.
• Collected 1,406 minutes, fifth-most among Bulldog field players.
• Tied for third on the team with six points, scoring two goals and assisting on two more.
• Scored the game-winning goals in her first two collegiate matches, wins against Jackson State and Morehead State at the Ole Miss Invitational.
• Put in a rebound off the post in the 59th minute to lift State to a season-opening win against Jackson State.
• Headed in the game-winner (64th minute) against Morehead State.

• Played club soccer for Chris Ring’s FC Dallas ’91 squad that advanced to the 2008 Southern Regional and Premier League West finals.
• Helped FC Dallas to the 2007-08 Lake Highland Girls Classic League title.
• A three-time 5-5A First Team All-District selection, and the 2008 Midfielder of the Year for Matt Colvin at Southlake Carroll High School.
• Guided the team to the Texas 5A state championship in 2008 and two-straight district titles in 2006 and 2007.

• Daughter of Paul and Elsa Alvarado, and has three sisters, Jessica, Michelle and Jennifer.
