- Assistant Coach
Assistant coach Myranda Sanders brings a wealth of knowledge and excitement to her second season with the Bulldog soccer program.
Sanders' energy and diligent work ethic embodies the qualities that Mississippi State head coach Neil Macdonald expects from his program.
Sanders will assist with on-field instruction and the day-to-day operations of the program in addition to serving as the coordinator of Mississippi State's widely-respected summer camps.
"Myranda is an outstanding young coach, and we are excited that she is joining our staff here at Mississippi State," Macdonald said. "Our players will benefit from her tremendous knowledge of the game. She is a highly-regarded young coach who will be a tremendous asset to our program."
In the short time she has been in the coaching ranks, Sanders has gained a tremendous amount of experience working on various levels and tutoring various positions on the pitch.
Last summer, Sanders earned her NSCAA advanced national license while also being selected to the Region III Olympic Development Program coaching staff.
Sanders joined the Mississippi State program after a one-year stint as assistant coach at Northwestern (La.) State University. She helped the Lady Demons to the best start in program history and a Top 60 ranking in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament Poll.
In addition to her on-field coaching, Sanders assisted in the preparation and instruction of all training sessions while also helping organize the school's recruiting efforts.
She returned to Northwestern State in an assistant coach capacity after earning her master's degree from the institution and serving as a graduate assistant coach just a few years earlier.
Between stops in Natchitoches, Sanders earned SEC experience as an intern with the Auburn Tigers.
During that year on "The Plains," she helped run practice sessions and assisted in training the Tigers' goalkeeper. She also helped organize recruiting information while also getting first-hand experience in the administrative aspects of a Division I soccer program.
Sanders has always had a passion for helping young soccer players develop their games mentally and technically, and she has been able to accomplish that through her work as a club coach and a camp instructor at various settings across the Southeast.
From 2000-2004, Sanders helped with the elite Duke Soccer School for Girls as well as the Elite Soccer Academy. She also instructed campers at Auburn, Louisiana-Lafayette, her alma mater Tennessee Tech and the Ralph Lundy Soccer Academy in Georgia.
The Tyler, Texas, native brings a tremendous insight into the game following a stellar playing career at Tennessee Tech University. She helped the Golden Eagles to the Ohio Valley Conference title in 2000, a year after she earned second-team all-conference accolades. In 2001 she was named to the OVC All-Tournament Team.
Sanders inked with TTU following a stellar career in soccer and basketball at Robet E. Lee High School in her hometown.
The oldest of five children, Sanders earned a Bachelor's degree in biology and health science from Tennessee Tech and a Master's degree in health and human performance with a concentration in sport administration from Northwestern State.
The former Myranda Hill married David Sanders this past July.
