Lucy Ream was hired in February 2026 as Mississippi State’s director of soccer operations. She came to Mississippi State after one year as the director of operations at Lipscomb where she served under head coach Kevin O’Brien.
Prior to being hired as the director of operations for Lipscomb, Ream was a two-year letterwinner for the Bisons after transferring from Eastern Kentucky.
In her time as a player for O’Brien, Ream twice earned All-ASUN honors. As a junior, she earned Second Team honors after starting in 19 of 20 games as a defender while scoring three goals and adding three assists. That year saw Lipscomb win the 2023 ASUN Regular Season Championship after going 10-0-1 in conference play. All 10 conference victories were shutouts. The team finished with a 14-5-1 overall record, setting a then-school record for wins.
In her senior season, Ream was named Third Team All-ASUN and picked up an ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honor. She started all 21 games she appeared in as the Bisons won the ASUN Tournament title and matched the program record with 14 victories. Ream logged more than 1,660 minutes that season.
As a freshman at Eastern Kentucky, Ream logged 18 starts in 19 appearances and had the second-most minutes on the team. She scored twice and logged four assists in four different matches.
Ream graduated from Lipscomb in 2025 with a degree in middle grade education.
