Senior Year (2016-17):
Junior Year (2015-16):
Playing as an individual in the Schooner Fall Classic, she fired back-to-back 71's for finish even par. In the Jim West Challenge she fired the second best scorecard on the team, with a 224. In the Alamo Challenge she fired a 227. She appeared in the UCF Challenge and fired a 72 in the second round in route to a 232. In the Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, Pieters fired a 229 overall. At the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate she hit a 232 and at the LSU Tiger Classic she fired a 242. She competed in her first SEC Championship, where she fired a 226.
Sophomore Year (2014-15):
Competing in three tournaments Izel Pieters carded her best finish at the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational, where she competed as an individual and shot a 227. Pieters also place in the Top 50, tied for 46, at the Seminole Match-up.
Freshman Year (2013-14):
In her first season in the Maroon and White, Pieters saw action in two tournaments. In those five rounds she had a season low of 224, where she finished in the Top 25 once. She has a 68 stroke low for her career, with an average of 79.00.
Prior to MSU:
Named Mpumalanga High School Sports Woman of the Year in 2011 and 2012 ... Back-to-back Earnie Els and Francourt Foundation Championships winner in 2010 and 2011 ... Posted second-place finishes at the South Africa Amateur Open and the South Aftrica Girl’s Rose Bowl ... Selected to represent her country on the junior amateur team in India, Germany, and twice in Scotland ... Received an invitation to the 2011 and 2012 Annika Sorenstam Invitation in Orlando, Fla.
