- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Baxter Woosley joined the prestigious Mississippi State women’s golf coaching staff in the fall of 2014.
A former Henderson State standout and long time family friend of MSU head coach Ginger Brown-Lemm, Woosley has taken the reigns as volunteer assistant for the Bulldogs. In his tenure with the team he has helped coach the Bulldogs to two first-place tournament finishes and two more top 4 finishes.
As a high school golfer at Parkview Magnet High School in Arkansas, Woosley competed in four state championships, as well as being named All-State in his junior season.
Getting the opportunity to play college golf, Woosley stayed in his home state of Arkansas to attend Henderson State. There he competed in over 20 tournaments, was named to the Dean’s List and was a part of the academic all-conference team multiple times. Adding to his long list of accolades, Woosely, a four-year letterwinner, was named team captain his senior season.
His connection with Brown-Lemm dates back as far as he can remember. As she was the head golf pro and gave lessons to him while in Little Rock, Ark., Brown-Lemm was also was the head coach of Baxter Woosley’s sister during her tenure at Arkansas State.
