Turned in a 15-10 record and a 1.75 ERA in 155.2 innings pitched with 90 strikeouts and 37 walks ... Had four shutouts and combined for another ... Held opponents to just a .217 (122-for-561) batting average ... Opened the year with three straight complete games, allowing just two runs over 20 innings of work ... Tied a school record with ten consecutive victories ... Threw her first career no-hitter in a 8-0, five-inning game against Jacksonville, February 11, at the USFBest Western Invitational ... Threw a career-high eight innings in a 3-2 victory over Bowling Green at the Compass Bank Invitational ... The performance helped her earn SEC Pitcher of the Week laurels ... Earned her second no-hitter of the season, and State’s first-ever no-hitter against an SECsquad, in a 5-0 victory at Arkansas, March 18.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2005)
Saw action in 35 games from the circle ... Earned the start 27 times and tallied six complete games (.222) ... Turned in a 10-10 record and a 2.77 ERA in 141.2 innings pitched with a team-best 105 strikeouts and 47 walks ... Also combined for five shutouts and tallied a pair of saves ... Held opponents to a .261 batting average ... Limited righthanders to just a .245 (95-for-388) batting average ... Did not allow an earned run in her first four appearances of the season, tallying a 3-0 record and 11 strikeouts in the process ... Started, but eventually earned the save in State’s first series victory over Cal State-Fullerton at the Palm Springs Classic ... Scattered four hits and struck out four in a relief role en route to earning the win over Florida A&M at the Buzz Classic ... Struck out a career high 12 batters and scattered five hits over a complete game in MSU’s win over UABin Birmingham then pushed her strikeout total against UABout to 16 with another complete game victory over the Blazers in Starkville later in the season ... Performed admirably in two head-to-head meetings with #6 Tennessee and all-American southpaw Monica Abbott, striking out four Lady Vols and allowing just four earned runs in 12 innings of work ... Struck out five and allowed two earned runs in State’s victory over Southern Miss in Hattiesburg ... Worked a complete game and did not allow an earned run in MSU’s loss at #10 Alabama ... Struck out a pair and surrendered one hit in picking up her second save of the season on MState’s 2-0 victory over Ole Miss in Oxford ... Scattered three hits and struck out five in a relief role in MSU’s series finale victory at South Carolina ... Took the loss to Tennessee in SEC Tournament play despite not allowing an earned run in a 3-0 loss.
AS A FRESHMAN (2004)
Saw action in 27 games from the circle ... Earned the start nine times and tallied a pair of complete games (.222) ... Turned in a 9-6 record and a 1.96 ERA in 82.1 innings pitched with 47 strikeouts and 18 walks ... Also collected one shutout, two combined shutouts and a team-best three saves ... Held opponents to a .269 batting average ... Collected first collegiate win in relief against Bradley, giving up three hits in three and two-thirds innings while striking out two ... Hurled first complete game in State’s 7-1 win over Bradley the next day, striking out six batters and allowing six hits ... Struck out season-high eight batters in five-inning victory over Miss. Valley State (2/21), allowing just one hit and walking one ... Surrendered four hits in 3.1 innings against No. 6 Georgia (3/13) in picking up first conference victory and first win over a ranked opponent ... Pitched six relief innings in series finale against No. 10 Alabama, striking out a pair and allowing just one run to secure series victory ... Picked up first collegiate save against No. 17 Florida, allowing just one hit in two innings of work.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Prepped at East Central High School for coach Tracy Box ... Played club softball for the Mobile Thrillers and coach Don Flippo ... A three-time all-district, all-area and all-state selection, Comeaux helped East Central to three consecutive Class 4A state softball championships after being a part of Pascagoula High School’s 5A state semifinalist squad as a freshman ... Collected more than 90 victories as a prep pitcher and struck out more than 800 batters while sporting an ERAS hovering under the 0.50 mark ... A two-sport athlete at East Central, Stephanie also helped the volleyball squad to two consecutive state tournament appearances, earning her team’s Best Defensive Player as a senior.
