AS A JUNIOR (2008):
Started all 63 games, with all but one coming at first base ... Named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 First Team ... Earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete and academic all-SEC accolades for the third time ... Hit .270 with six doubles, three home runs, 24 RBIs and 18 runs scored ... Moved into seventh on the school’s career home runs chart ... Walked 13 times and drove in the game-winning run twice while scoring a pair of game-clinchers ... Fielded at a .980 clip, committing nine errors with a team-best 434 putouts ... Moved into fourth in career fielding percentage (.981) and third in chances (1,199) and putouts (1,108) ... Earned SEC Player of the Week honors on April 24 ... Named to the SEC Academic all-SEC team and an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete after posting a 4.0 GPA last season ... Earned MSU’s Exemplary Service Award for the top business information systems student and selected to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society ... Saw action in 56 games, drawing 53 starts between first and third base ... Boasted a .297 batting average with 49 hits ... Scored 16 runs in 165 at-bats ...
