AS A SOPHOMORE (2005)
Saw action in 32 games from the circle ... Earned the start 26 times and tallied nine complete games (.346) ... Turned in a 14-12 record and a team-best 2.39 ERA in 135.0 innings pitched with 58 strikeouts and 21 walks ... Also collected five solo shutouts and three combined shutouts ... Held opponents to a .278 batting average ... Combined with fellow sophomore Stephanie Comeaux to post 24 of the Maroon and White’s 35 overall wins (.685) ... Hurled Mississippi State’s sixth no-hitter all-time in her first start of the season, striking out two and allowing no walks in a 9-0 win over Louisiana Tech in five innings ... Won four of first five starts, tallying a 0.48 ERA in 29 innings of work ... In that same time frame, allowed four hits per game, tallied 13 strikeouts and surrendered just two earned runs, with lone loss coming on the road to #5 Louisiana-Lafayette ... Following an absence for rehabilitation purposes, put together a four-game winning streak toward the beginning of conference play that saw her turn in a perfect ERA, while allowing no earned runs and just two hits per outing ... In that time, collected a pair of wins over both Kentucky and #25 LSU, helping the Bulldogs to their first-ever series victory over the Tigers ... Turned in a 1-1 record and a 0.54 record in two starts at #16 Florida, allowing just one earned run in 13 innings of work while striking out five ... Tallied a three-hit shutout with four strikeouts in State’s win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the first round of NCAA Regionals ... Became first pitcher since 2001 to strike out 10 or more in one game, accomplishing the feat in a 18-3 complete game victory over Jackson State (2/8) ... Struck out six and walked two in State’s upset of No. 17 Florida on April 24 ... Took the hard-luck loss against No. 2 and national runner-up Cal at the NCAA Region 5 Tournament in Lincoln, Neb., despite allowing just six hits and one earned run ... HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB
Prepped at Liberty High School for coach Brenda Miller ... Played club softball for OKC Jitterbugs and coach Nancy Teehee, as well as the Colorado Quicksilver and coach Dervin Taylor ... A first team all-state, as well as a first team all-Metro and all-Area, selection, Miller helped lead the Lancers to a No. 2 seed at the state tournament after posting a 18-3 record and a 0.45 ERA with a state record 206 strikeouts ... Also set her high school’s career strikeout record (600), while earning a spot on Liberty’s Wall of Fame ... A two-sport athlete at Liberty, earned all-state honors as a goalkeeper, breaking school records for shutouts and save percentage.
