Kareem Allaf is in his first season as a volunteer assistant at Mississippi State. In addition to his role with the Bulldogs, Allaf also competes on the ATP Tour and holds a career-high ranking of 756 set in December 2022. He also set a personal-best ITF singles ranking of 360 in April 2022.
Allaf was a college teammate of Mississippi State assistant coach Jake Jacoby at Iowa from 2016-18.
During his college career from 2016-21, Allaf earned the distinction of being the Hawkeyes all-time wins leader in singles and doubles with 164 victories. He notched 95 career singles wins and 69 career doubles wins, which ranks him second and third in school history respectively in those categories.
Allaf was also a three-time All Big-12 selection with two first team honors. He achieved 12 career singles victories over ranked opponents. As a sophomore, he won 22 doubles matches, which ties for fourth in Iowa single-season history.
Allaf played No. 1 singles for Syria in the 2019 Davis Cup and posted an 18-9 record. He was also a doubles champion at the ITF World Tennis Tour in the summer of 2019.
