Prepped under coach Bob Pels at Greenwood High School during his junior and senior seasons in Bowling Green, Kentucky … Greenwood HS also produced Daymeon Fishback who is an analyst on the SEC Network and was chosen as Mr. Kentucky basketball in 1996 … Spent his sophomore season at Bowling Green High School where he won a 2016-17 state championship ... Played his freshman year at A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas, the same high school program that produced Alex Caruso who currently plays for the Chicago Bulls ... His father, Rick Stansbury, is Mississippi State’s all-time winningest basketball coach who went 293-166 over 14 seasons from 1999-2012 … Rick also was an associate head coach for the 1996 NCAA Final Four team on Richard Williams’ staff … The Bulldogs made five NCAA Tournament trips, won the 2004 SEC regular season championship and the 2002 and 2009 SEC Tournament titles under Stansbury.
