Jordan Sperber completed his first season as Mississippi State’s Senior Director of Basketball Strategy on Chris Jans’ staff in 2024-25.
Sperber worked extensively on scouting and analytics with members of the coaching staff to assist with the development of opponent scouting reports among other duties. The Bulldogs extended their streak to three straight seasons with at least 21 wins and collected a NCAA Tournament berth during Sperber’s only season in 2024-25.
Sperber previously worked for Jans as a video coordinator and analytics specialist at New Mexico State in 2017-18 where the Aggies posted a 28-6 record en route to a NCAA Tournament bid. He also was on staff for New Mexico State’s NCAA Tournament trip in 2016-17 under Paul Weir.
Sperber is well known around the college basketball community as the founder of HoopVision, a basketball analytics website he created when he was a junior in high school. The site has been a resource for coaches and scouts by providing a blend of statistical analysis, video coverage and insider access to leading coaches and voices inside the basketball community. He also has served as a private analytics consultant for numerous college programs, coaches and agents over the years.
Prior to New Mexico State, Sperber was a graduate assistant during Eric Musselman’s first season at Nevada in 2015-16. He also has worked on NCAA Basketball statistical research with Ken Pomeroy.
Sperber has interned with ESPN Stats and Info at its headquarters as part of the production analytics team for advanced football metrics, NBA end of game strategies and ensured accuracy across all platforms for the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
Sperber is a 2014 graduate from Villanova’s School of Business.
