Damien Davis heads into his first season as a fellow on the Mississippi State men’s basketball staff during the 2026-27 campaign.
In 2025-26, Davis worked as a graduate assistant at Little Rock in the Ohio Valley Conference. His duties were highlighted by assisting the coaching staff with practices, recruiting and operations. He also led player development sessions and broke down film to create opponent scouting reports.
Davis, a native of The Bronx, New York, served as an assistant coach for player development with the New York Wiz Kids, an AAU program, from 2021 to 2025. There, he developed training programs along with leading practices and skill sessions for the organization.
Davis began his college basketball career at Westchester Community College in New York before he finished up at Clark Atlanta where he was a 2017-18 All-SIAC selection. The program also appeared in multiple NCAA Division II Tournaments.
Davis has ties to the State program. His younger brother, Dashawn Davis, scored 501 points in 66 games playing for two NCAA Tournament squads coached by Chris Jans in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
Davis graduated with his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Clark Atlanta in 2019. He is pursuing a Master’s in sports management at Mississippi State.
