CAREER: Enjoyed a relatively heathy sophomore campaign but missed the majority of his junior campaign after a left knee injury suffered in the first series of the LSU game after struggling with injuries his first two seasons on campus . . . Local high school product who impressed coaches upon his arrival on campus.
2011: A preseason All-SEC candidate that started the first three games before injuring his left knee in the first series of the LSU game and missing the rest of the season . . . Got the Bulldogs offense off to a blistering start after gaining 1,176 yards over the first two games, the most in a two-game span in school history . . . Started at right guard in the season-opening win at Memphis, where he helped running back Vick Ballard run for a career-best 166 yards and three scores, a performance that earned Ballard SEC Player of the Week . . . The game also saw the offense set the school record for total offense in a game (645 yards).
2010: Played in 12 games and earned his first career start . . . Saw time with the regular offensive line either at left or right guard throughout the year . . . Helped pave the way for the Bulldog rushing attack that averaged 214.8 yards per game, 16th in the country and second highest average in the SEC . . . Helped State rush for over 200 yards eight different times this season . . . Posted 10 games of over 80 percent blocking and eclipsed the 90 percent mark four times . . . Finished the season with an impressive 36 knockdown blocks . . . Earned first start against Florida.
2009: Had season derailed with leg injury suffered in August . . . Was working with the first team offense before the injury . . . Still saw action in three games . . . That site has him listed as the No. 9 prospect, regardless of position, in the state of Mississippi, following his senior season . . . He was the second-ranked offensive lineman on the chart, the top-rated offensive guard . . . Credited with a 405-pound bench press max and a 32-inch vertical jump by Rivals . . .
