CAREER: Powerful young defensive lineman expected to compete for a starting job in fall 2013 . . . Played in 10 games in his first season for the Maroon and White . . . Member of the 2012 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll
2012: Saw action in 10 games, recording seven tackles, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery . . . Was a force in the season-opening win vs. Jackson State, tallying three tackles and a quarterback hurry while also forcing a fumble . . . Also provided a key block on Darius Slay’s interception return for a touchdown . . . Recovered a fumble in his SEC debut, a 28-10 home win over Auburn . . .
