Mississippi State head football coach Jeff Lebby made a strong addition to his support staff on January 2, 2024, hiring Marc Votteler as the program’s new Associate AD for Player Personnel.
One of the top personnel talents in college football, Votteler oversees the Bulldogs’ recruiting and roster management operations.
Votteler joined Mississippi State after most recently serving as the Director of Player Personnel at Ohio State, where he helped the Buckeyes secure the nation’s No. 4 overall recruiting class in 2023.
Prior to Ohio State, Votteler spent the 2022 season at Marshall as the program’s General Manager.
Votteler has also held various other personnel roles throughout his career, including Assistant Director of Player Personnel at Alabama (2019-22), Assistant Director of Player Personnel at UCF (2018-19), Assistant Director of Player Personnel at Tennessee (2017-18).
Votteler was a driving force in helping the Crimson Tide land a top-five recruiting class in each of his years in Tuscaloosa.
Votteler began his career as Assistant Director of Video at Tennessee (2014-17) after earning his bachelor's degree from the school in 2013.
