Mississippi State head football coach Jeff Lebby elevated David Wilczewski to Associate Athletics Director for Football Administration on December 19, 2023.

In his new role, Wilczewski oversees the football program’s administrative and operational functions, while also managing the football budget, coordinating strategic projects and initiatives, and serving as the program’s main liaison to the athletic department’s executive cabinet.

Wilczewski, who will enter his sixth season with the Bulldogs in 2024, previously served as the program's Associate Athletic Director for Football Operations. Since joining the Bulldogs' staff, he has also held the titles of Director of Football Operations (2019) and Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations (2020-21). In his previous roles, Wilczewski led all aspects of team travel, day-to-day football operations, the football budget and other organization matters pertaining to the administration of the football program.

Prior to Mississippi State, Wilczewski worked at the University of Maryland for five seasons in both recruiting and football operations roles. He managed all aspects of head coach and assistant coach recruiting travel, the recruiting budget and all official and unofficial visits. Wilczewski was influential in Maryland’s back-to-back top 25 recruiting classes in 2017 and 2018. In December 2017, he worked extensively with TeamWorks to develop and implement an electronic method for prospects to sign their NLIs.

Prior to joining the Maryland staff, Wilczewski served as a recruiting assistant at the University of Connecticut from 2008-13. Before his time at UConn, Wilczewski served as a recruiting assistant at Marshall University during the spring of 2008.

Wilczewski graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in economics in 2007 and a degree in coaching and sport administration in 2008. He received his MBA with a concentration in strategic management and organizational design from Indiana University in March 2015.
