DONATE YOUR UNUSED TICKETS TO THE VETERAN TICKETS FOUNDATION
Mississippi State Athletics is proud to partner with the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), a nonprofit organization founded by veterans dedicated to support and honor the U.S. military community, veterans, and their families.
By partnering with Vet Tix, Mississippi State Athletics supports the mission of Vet Tix of providing tickets to events which reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build life-long memories, and encourage service members and veterans to stay engaged with local communities and American life. Vet Tix provides tickets to all branches of currently serving military and veterans. Vet Tix secures tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts, educational and family activities across the nation. Since 2008, Vet Tix has given out over 13 million free event tickets to more than 1.9 million members nationwide. For more information about Vet Tix, visit VetTix.org.
Donating tickets to Vet Tix is a free electronic service for football, baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and softball.
If you have tickets to Mississippi State events that you’re unable to use, consider donating them back through Vet Tix. Your donation will allow service members and veterans to enjoy these events, strengthening family bonds and providing a well-deserved break.
CAN I DONATE MY TICKETS TO VET TIX?
Both season ticket holders and single game buyers for football, baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and softball may donate tickets to Vet Tix.
HOW CAN I DONATE MY TICKETS?
Tickets may be donated to Vet Tix through the online Ticket Transfer service in the Dog Tag account. To donate, select the email only ticket transfer option and enter donate@vettix.org as the recipient.
HOW DOES THE RECIPIENT GET MY TICKETS?
Once you’ve completed the donation process, Vet Tix handles the rest. Their thorough screening process helps ensure your donated ticket(s) are matched with a deserving veteran or military family.
IS MY DONATION THROUGH VET TIX TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. Patrons that donate their season tickets will receive an e-mail communication at a later date outlining the taxable benefits of their donation.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY ORIGINAL TICKETS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN DONATED?
Your original tickets are no longer valid for admission. Any individual presenting invalid tickets for admission will be denied entry into an event.
WHY CAN I NOT SEE MY TICKETS AS AVAILABLE TO DONATE?
If your tickets were previously listed for sale on SeatGeek, be sure to delete the listing entirely—deactivating it is not enough. Your tickets must be removed from SeatGeek before they will appear in your inventory and be available to donate.
HOW WILL I KNOW MY DONATED TICKETS WERE USED?
Approximately two weeks after the event, patrons who donated their tickets will receive a “Thank You” email notification from the recipient. Visit our Fan Feedback Page to hear about individual game experiences.
