Dear Prospective Cheerleader,

Thank you for your interest in Mississippi State University and our cheerleading squads. At this time we are no longer offering tryout invites as we have started our tryout process. Clinics for the 2026-2027 season invites will be offered June through February. Tryout invites are only offered at clinics.

Q: Other than cheerleading abilities, what are you looking for in a recruit?
A: We are looking for well-rounded athletes and students. Mississippi State Spirit aims to build strong teams, athletes and people. As a coaching staff, our top goal is to prepare you for post-college life as an adaptable, hard-working team player.

Q: How will I know if I'm invited to tryout?
A: You will receive a formal invitation via email from the MSU Spirit coaching staff. Tryout invites are all complete for the 2025-2026 season.

Q: What if I have a conflict with the Invite-Only tryout dates?
A: You are required to attend tryouts in person. I will work around your conflicts the best I can while keeping the process fair and on schedule.
