State Track Team To Compete In Georgia Relays
The MState men opened the outdoor season two weeks ago at the FSU Snowbird in Tallahassee, Fla. MSU's 4x400-meter relay team registered a regional qualifying mark at the event. The Lady Bulldogs will open outdoor competition this weekend.
We are still trying to figure out our relay teams, so this weekend will be very beneficial, said MSU head coach Al Schmidt. We are looking forward to having Jen McPherson and Liz Grube with us this weekend and the men should be pretty solid this weekend.
McPherson and Grube will booster the women's distance events for the Maroon and White. They will be making their senior season debut this weekend. On the men's side, sophomore Daniel Zabaldano will lead the Bulldogs in the field events. At the FSU Snowbird, the Brandon, Miss.-product claimed the discus event while posting a second-place finish in the javelin.
