MSU Women's Tennis Hosts Alabama Sunday
STARKVILLE , Miss. ?€“ Mississippi State's Lady Bulldog tennis team will close out the weekend on Sunday , March 11, hosting No. 57 Alabama at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre. The match versus the Crimson Tide is set for 1 p.m. CT.
No. 64 Mississippi State (4-6, 0-3 Southeastern Conference) started the weekend on Friday with a tough 6-1 loss to No. 62 Auburn. State claimed the doubles point, but lost all six singles matches, four in three-set battles. Alabama (5-5, 1-2 SEC) notched its first conference victory Friday, downing Mississippi 5-2.
Following Sunday's contest against UA, the Lady Bulldogs' next competition will be in two weeks, when they travel to Kentucky on Friday, March 23, for a 2 p.m. CT match. They conclude that weekend at Vanderbilt on Sunday, March 25, in a match slated for Noon CT.
