Defense Continues To Impress MSU Head Coach Croom

The defense continues to get better, Croom said. Jamon (Hughes) has had two straight really good days, and Titus (Brown) has played well too. I'm seeing a little life on defense.
On the other hand, I didn't think the offense came ready to get better today, the head coached added. We had too many dropped balls.
It is at the line of scrimmage where Croom has seen the most competition on the offensive side of the ball.
We want to get the best five guys on the field and find a swing guy who can work at both guard and tackle, Croom said. We've been working J.D. (Hamilton) at guard with Michael Gates. The competition has been good between those two guys and (tackle) Craig Jenkins.
We're looking at a couple of different combinations with those three, Croom said. We just need to find our best guys on the right side, because I think we're pretty solid on the left side.
The Bulldogs will take Wednesday off before working again Thursday in preparation for Friday's first spring scrimmage.
