Women's Tennis Places Three Members On The 2006 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Three members of Tracy Lane's women's tennis team received 2006 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll status when the league announced its honorees for spring sports last week.
Senior Anastasia Kugakolova along with sophomores Renee Joseph and Polina Kokoulina were listed among the 75 MState student-athletes on the conference-wide honor roll.
Kugkolova posted a 3.10 GPA and received her degree in psychology this past May. This marks the third time she has been named to the academic honor roll. Joseph earned a 3.82 in biological sciences this past academic session, while Kokoulina earned a 3.62 in microbiology. Joseph and Kokoulina were members of the 2005 SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll last year.
To be eligible for the honor roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letter-winner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 segment hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
The 2006 listing is based on grades from the 2005 Summer, 2005 Fall and 2006 Spring terms.
