4x4 Finishes Seventh On Final Day Of NCAA Championships

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Mississippi State University men's 4x400-meter relay team of juniors Bruce Davis, Ezra Jones, Arthur Davis and Nathan Daniels ran 3 minutes, five seconds to finish seventh on the final day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
"Ezra just didn't run the curve, and we got stuck in traffic," said MSU head coach Al Schmidt. "We didn't run the way we could, but they're all-Americans. We've had a good year with this group, and next year's a new year. We'll be back (at the national meet) strong."
The finish garners A. Davis with his third all-America honor in the event, while B. Davis, Jones and Daniels collect their first.
As a team, the Bulldogs' two points from the event gave MSU a share of 58th place.
