4x400-Meter Relay Qualifies For Event Finals At NCAA Championships
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Mississippi State University's 4x400-meter relayteam of juniors Bruce Davis, Ezra Jones, Arthur Davis and NathanDaniels ran a qualifying time of 3 minutes, 5.20 seconds to qualify forSaturday's event finals on the second day of the 2006 NCAA OutdoorTrack and Field Championships at the Alex G. Spanos Complex inSacramento, Calif.
"We were the last ones in, but, we're there," said MSU head coach AlSchmidt.
Junior Jen McPherson concluded her season after finishing 22nd in thewomen's 1500-meter preliminaries (4:25.13).
"Jen was hurt for a year," Schmidt noted. "She just started runningagain in January. She had a great year with her best running coming atthe Penn Relays. She just ran out of gas, but next year's a big yearfor her."
