Davis, Magloire Named To SEC Track And Field Good Works Team
Magloire, a recent biological sciences graduate, participated in amission trip to Mississippi Gulf Coast following aftermath of HurricaneKatrina. As a member of M-Club, MSU's student-athlete community serviceorganization, she visited Aiken Village Daycare on a weekly basis tovisit with children. She has spent time visiting Heart to HeartHospice. She has given time to elementary schools in the area byparticipating in Dr. Suess Day with students at Overstreet ElementarySchool, at Sudduth Elementary, hosted a Welcome Carnival for studentsto get acquainted with school before entering the next year and helpedwith a pep rally at Ward Elementary to kickoff Bully's Book Blitz, amonth-long contest to see which class can read the most books. Sheparticipated in Take a Kid to the Game Day at MSU.
She has also participated in a Thanksgiving Food Drive for localfamilies and picked up trash once a month along the M-Club's adoptedstretch of Highway 12 and around athletic facilities.
In addition to Magloire, Aymara Albury (Alabama), Angela Homan(Auburn), Beth Fahey (Arkansas), Dara Altman (Florida), Megan Duet(LSU), Kenyata Coleman (Mississippi), Cheryl Terrio (South Carolina),Felicia Guliford (Tennessee) and Anna Morgan (Vanderbilt) were alsonamed to the team.
Davis is a member of the M-Club and helped sponsor litter pickups andcleanup of the MSU campus. He also participates in Bully's Book Blitzand took part in a pep rally, where he signed autographs for thirdgraders at Overstreet Elementary School. He was also an integral partin a Thanksgiving food drive, and donated clothing to tsunami victims.He was also a 2005 selection to the SEC Good Works Team.a
Davis joins Marcus Siwemuke (Alabama), Luis Bordes (Arkansas), SekouClarke (Florida), Jonathan Chretien (LSU), Shawn Cunningham (SouthCarolina) and Matthew Lapp (Tennessee) on the team.
The SEC sponsors Good Works Teams for all 20 league sponsoredsports.The Good Works Team looks to highlight an athlete from eachschool who gives back to her community in superior service efforts.
