Homan Tied For First At Mississippi Amateur Going Into Sunday's Finale

CHOCTAW, Miss. - Mississippi State head golf coach Clay Homan remains in contention to retain his Mississippi State Amateur crown with his 4-under par round of 68 on Saturday at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club's Azalea course. With his 11-under par score thru three rounds (68-69-68), Homan heads to Sunday tied atop the leaderboard with Kyle Ellis.
State's Matt Fast posted his best round so far in the 72-hole event on Saturday. The Hattiesburg, Miss. native fired a 2-under par 70 to move from a tie for ninth to fifth on the leaderboard. Josh Oller recorded an even-par 72 during the third round. He stands tied for 24th in the standings.
