Lady Bulldog Golfers Head To SEC Championship
"We are excited about the SEC Championship this weekend," said MSU headcoach Christi Sanders. "It will be our last chance to show the NCAA RegionalSelection Committee how strong our team is going into the end of the season."
The tournament features six of the top 20 teams in the country as well as 10of the top 30 individuals. The Lady Bulldogs enter the tournament ranked47th in the latest Golfweek rankings. MSU's Amanda Mathis is ranked 46thindividually and has led State in every tournament this season. JoiningMathis in the lineup will be seniors Stephanie Godare and Ashleigh Korzack,sophomore Juli Huh and Freshman Leigh Phillips.
Play will begin at 8:30 each day with teams teeing off on hole #1 and hole#10. State will begin its first round at 8:34 a.m. on hole 10.
