State has now suffered six consecutive setbacks in SEC competition. The Red and Black Lady Bulldogs extended its series record over MSU to 28-0.
MState's Renee Joseph fell at the No. 1 position to UGA's Evgenia Subbotina 6-3, 6-3. No 85 Darya Ivanov of UGA dropped Martina Banikova of State 6-1, 6-3. In doubles, Georgia's 54th-ranked duo of Ivanov and Subbotina topped Feit and Joseph of MSU on court two.
State (3-13, 1-8 SEC) ventures to Knoxville, Tenn. on Sunday, April 9 to take on the Lady Volunteers of Tennessee. Match time is set for Noon ET.
