State Women Close Out SEC Road Slate With Georgia And Tennessee

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's women's tennis team will hit the road this weekend, traveling to Athens, Ga. on Friday, April 7 and Knoxville, Tenn. on Sunday, April 9, to tangle with No. 28 Georgia and No. 27 Tennessee. The UGA-MSU dual will get underway at 3 p.m. CT at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
This weekend's activity will close out the road portion of the Lady Bulldog's 2006 regular season slate. State will close out the regular season with a home match on Easter weekend with a Saturday, April 15 date with in-state rival Mississippi at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.
State will try to halt a five-match losing skid in the Southeastern Conference this weekend. The Lady Bulldogs of Georgia own a 27-0 advantage over their SEC Western Division counterparts. Last season, the Red and Black topped MSU 4-3 in Starkville.
UGA's Natalie Frazier, ranked 18th in the country, leads the squad in singles with a 24-9 record. UGA also sports two ranked doubles tandems with Shadisha Robinson and Caroline Basu ranked eighth along with Evgenia Subbotina and Darya Ivanov listed at 54th.
