State's head coach again lauded the play of his defense, which hit well and continues to convert on mistakes made by the offense. And while he again mentioned that his quarterback's football location was off, causing several tipped passes, he said the overall offensive production was better than first thought.
Despite the fact that his steps and landmarks were not where they needed to be, Brandon Hart (LaGrange, Ga.) ran hard, Croom said. I might have been a little hard on him since he is a fullback trying to help us at halfback.
And the passing game was probably better as well, Croom continued. (Michael) Henig (Montgomery, Ala.) improves each and every day. We're moving in the right direction.
