MSU Golfers Trek To Carter Plantation Intercollegiate On Monday
State's line up for the tournament will consist of freshmen Noah Goldman, Carlos Sainz, Jr and Matt Fast. Rounding out the five-man line up will be junior Josh Oller and senior Jared Jimenez. Jimenez is making his second start of the season. MState is led by freshman Noah Goldman, who has posted 4th and 2nd-place finishes in his previous two outings. The Longwood, Fla. native ranks 29th in the SEC in scoring with a 73.58 average. He Has posted par or better in 11 of his 19 rounds competed this season.
MSU is currently ranked second in Golfstat.com's Top 25 Freshman Class Impact Rankings that were released this past Thursday, with a relative strength rating of 421.541 and a scoring average of 74.04.
The Carter Plantation field includes six teams from the Southeast District ?€“ Jacksonville State, Memphis, South Alabama, South Florida, Southern Mississippi and Tulane. Other participants include Southeastern Louisiana, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisville and Texas-San Antonio.
Competition gets underway on Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m.
