Croom Seeks Mental Toughness, Offensive Efficiency Saturday

We've got to develop some mental toughness, Croom said. It's why we don't have back-to-back good practices and why we can't win two games in a row. Right now, we're just not mentally tough enough. I'm disappointed because after a good day, we'll have a lackadaisical practice.
The Bulldogs worked for two and one-half hours Friday in shells only preparing for Saturday's initial spring scrimmage. With just shoulder pads and head gear on, the team did limited contact work. That won't be the case in State's first game-like session, when the head coach is counting on better offensive production.
We still have too many dropped balls, Croom said, and every tipped ball is caught by the defense. They (the defense) continue to make plays.
But our offensive line has to mature, and we're going to do whatever we need to do to get them to mature, Croom said. On the positive side, I thought (Michael) Henig had another good day.
