Bulldog Netmen Continue SEC Play This Weekend On The Road

Friday's match with Kentucky is set for 4 p.m. CT at UK's Boone TennisComplex. The Wildcats, currently ranked 20th in the nation, are 11-3 overalland 4-0 in Southeastern Conference play. Kentucky is led by 46th-rankedjunior Alex Hume. Hume is 25-7 overall this season including a perfect 11-0record in dual match play. Freshman Bruno Agostinelli is ranked 54thnationally and holds an 8-3 dual match record for UK. The third rankedplayer for Kentucky is senior Nate Emge. Emge is ranked 87th and has a 7-4dual match record including a 2-2 mark in league play. The Bulldogs andWildcats have met 35 previous times with Kentucky holding a slight 19-16advantage. MSU upset Kentucky last season in Starkville as State downed the12th ranked Wildcats 5-2.
The Bulldogs will conclude their weekend activity, taking on theVanderbilt Commodores Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. at VU's Currey Tennis Center. TheCommodores are 5-7 on the season and 0-4 in the SEC. They are led bysophomore Ryan Preston who is 8-4 in dual match play and is ranked 68thnationally. The VU doubles tandem of Evan Dufaux and Andy Mack are ranked32nd in the nation and are currently 9-3 on the season. State holds acommanding 31-7 lead in the series with Vanderbilt including a 13-5advantage in Nashville. State defeated Vanderbilt 5-2 last season inStarkville which snapped a two match losing streak to the Commodores.
