Lady Bulldog Golfers Head To Edwin Watts/Pinehurst Challenge
State is coming off an eighth place finish at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classiclast weekend. MSU has also finished in the top-10 of all six tournamentsthis season.
The Lady Bulldog lineup will consist of seniors Stephanie Godare, AshleighKorzack, junior Amanda Mathis and sophomores Julia Huh and Emily Parker.Mathis leads MSU in stroke average and has been State's top finisher in allsix tournaments this season.
"The team is excited and ready to play Pinehurst during their spring break,"said MSU head coach Christi Sanders. "It will be interesting to see how theyperform not having the extra worries of missing classes and exams."
The 18-team field also consist of Arkansas Little-Rock, Charleston Southern,Coastal Carolina, host College of Charleston, East Carolina, Iowa,Jacksonville State, James Madison, Marshall, Maryland, Miami, UNCGreensboro, UNC Wilmington, Washington State, Western Michigan, Winthrop andXavier.
Play will begin Sunday with a first tee format. Monday will also be a firsttee start while the final round on Tuesday will be a shotgun start.
