Women's Tennis Travels To The State Of Alabama For Two Matches
STARKVILLE , Miss. ?€“ Mississippi State's women's tennis squad will look to get in the win column in the Southeastern Conference this weekend with a two-match road trip to the state of Alabama. The Lady Bulldogs will square off with the Auburn Tigers on Friday, March 10, and face 39 th-ranked Alabama on Sunday, March 12. Both matches this weekend will start at 1 p.m.
State dropped its first two matches of the conference slate last weekend to 24th-ranked South Carolina and 4th-ranked Florida . The Tigers of Auburn are also searching for their first win in conference activity as Kentucky and Vanderbilt defeated AU by identical 7-0 scores last weekend. AU is coming off a tough 4-3 loss to Troy on Wednesday afternoon.
Friday's contest with the Tigers will be the 33rd meeting between the SEC Western Division foes. Last season, MState dealt AU a 6-1 loss at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre.
