Lady Bulldog Golfers Finish Eighth At LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic
Junior Amanda Mathis led Mississippi State on the final day, shooting a 74and finished the tournament in a tie for 15th. Senior Ashleigh Korzackfinished the three-round tournament, firing a 226 and finished in 24th.Senior Stephanie Godare shot a 228 for the tournament and finished in a tiefor 38th. Sophomore Emily Parker completed her first tournament as a LadyBulldog, firing a 241, finishing in a tie for 79th. After a neck injury heldher out of the second round, MSU sophomore Julia Huh fired a 74 in the thirdround, helping State to their sixth top-10 finish of the year.
Auburn shot a 287 on the final day to take the team win over LSU by twostrokes. Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino shot a 67 on Sunday and finished witha score of 210 to take the win in the individual competition.
State will be back in action next weekend (March 12-14) when the LadyBulldogs travel to Pinehurst, N.C. for the Edwin Watts/Pinehurst Challenge.
