Bulldogs In Fourth After Round One Of The Seminole Intercollegiate
State stands just six shots off the pace and fourth on the team leaderboard set by East Tennessee State, who carded a 6-under par 282 on Sunday. The Tar Heels of North Carolina and Coastal Carolina round out the top-three squads.
The round of 288 posted by MSU is the best round recorded since the second round of the Squire Creek Intercollegiate back on Oct. 17.
MSU freshmen Carlos Sainz, Jr. and Noah Goldman each turned in 1-under par rounds of 71 to lead the Bulldog line up. Red shirt freshman Logan Young turned in an even-par round of 72, while freshman Matt Fast rounded out the MState scorecard with a 74 on Sunday. Saniz, Jr. and Goldman are both tied for tenth in the individual standings, while Young is in 16th-place.
Dustin Johnson of Coastal Carolina fired a 6-under par 66 for the clubhouse leader.
Second round action begins Monday at 8 a.m. on the par-72 course.
