Lady Bulldogs In Sixth After Second Round At LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic

Amanda Mathis led the Lady Bulldogs in the second round, shooting a 1-over,73 moving into a tie for 12th place in the individual race. Senior StephanieGodare fired her second 75 of the tournament and is tied for 24th place.Ashleigh Korzack is in a tie for 19th after shooting a 75 on Saturday. EmilyParker shot an 81 in the second round and is in a tie for 70th. SophomoreJulia Huh was forced to withdrawl due to an injury before the second roundstarted and is disqualified from the individual competition.
"I am so proud of this team today, fighting so hard, knowing that we onlyhad four players out there," said MSU head coach Christi Sanders. "I had towithdraw Julia before the round started due to a severe crick in her neck.We will not know until tomorrow morning if she will be able to play in thefinal round."
Auburn took over the team lead after shooting a 289 on Saturday. In theindividual competition, LSU's Melissa Eaton is 5-under par and leads by fourstrokes over Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino.
Final round action will begin Sunday at 8:20 a.m. CT.
