State Golfers Head To Seminole Intercollegiate At Golden Eagle CC

The Bulldogs are coming off a seventh-place finish at the University of Central Florida/Rio Pinar Intercollegiate back on Feb. 14. MSU head coach Clay Homan's squad fired rounds of 294 and 290 on the final day to move in to the seventh spot on the leaderboard.
MSU is making its 21st appearance in the Florida State University-hosted event. The Bulldogs have placed second in the event during the 1998 and 2000 seasons.
The Maroon and White's five-man line up will consist of Matt Fast, Noah Goldman, Josh Oller, Carlos Sainz, Jr. and Logan Young. Oller led the squad at the spring opener with a 13th-place finish, while Sainz, Jr. paces the team in scoring with a 73.11 average. Fast and Young will make their spring debuts this week.
Golden Eagle Country Club is a Tom Fazio designed course that spans over 6,965 yards in length and plays to a par 72.
Sunday's opening round will begin at 8 a.m. CT.
