State Closes Out Five-Match Homestand Against No. 4 Florida On Sunday

MSU is coming off a 6-1 loss to the 24th-ranked Gamecocks of South Carolina on Friday. State senior Anastasia Kugakolova notched the squad's lone win in singles competition by knocking off No. 46 Gira Schofield of South Carolina for her 62nd career win as a Lady Bulldog netter. She is now tied for seventh on the school's career singles wins list.
The fourth-ranked Gators bring an overall record of 7-1 in to the contest after topping the Lady Rebels of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. on Friday. UF hold a 25-0 all-time record against Mississippi State, including a 13-0 mark in matches competed in Starkville. Last season, MSU fell 6-1 to the Gators in Gainesville.
MSU hits the road next weekend touring the state of Alabama, facing Auburn on Friday, March 10 and Alabama on Sunday, March 12. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
