Day One Of UCF/Rio Pinar Intercollegiate Suspended Due To Darkness

The start of the tournament was delayed due to a one hour frost delay this morning in Orlando, Fla. When the teams got underway, the temperature was 38 degrees with wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. During Monday's competition the temperatures did not reach above 50, along with a wind chill in the 40s.
When play was concluded in the first round the Bulldogs turned in a 317 and stood in 17th place on the team leaderboard.
Playing in the tough weather conditions on the opening day, MSU's Noah Goldman recorded the team's low round on Monday with a 77. Playing in his home state, the Longwood, Fla. product posted 38 on the front nine and 39 coming in. Junior Josh Oller and freshman Carlos Sainz, Jr. each carded a 78.
Memphis has the clubhouse lead at seven-over par, while Lamar University and Mississippi round out the top-three squads.
The second round will be completed beginning at 8 a.m. ET and the final round is expected to start around 10:15 ET.
